What is LEADER?
LEADER is a small (but vital) part of the Rural Development Programme for England (2014-2020), which is funded by the European Union and UK Government.
The term LEADER comes from the phrase ‘Liaison Entre Actions de Développement de l'Économie Rurale'’, which can be translated as ‘Integrated Rural Development’.
What is our aim?
Our aim is 'to utilise the unrealised potential of the area’s rural economy to stimulate innovation and growth to tackle market failures, and thereby improve the area’s economic performance and social and environmental sustainability’.
£1.742 million is available for eligible projects to deliver economic growth within our LEADER area. Please visit our CWWW LEADER 2014-2020 Area page.
