Background

The Humber Rural Access to Opportunities Programme (HRAOP) will be one of five projects to be delivered under the Yorkshire RAOP. One project will operate within in each of the four Yorkshire sub-regions (North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Humber and South Yorkshire) plus additional activity at a regional level. Yorkshire Forward and partners have developed these five projects in tandem under a common policy focus in direct response to the evaluation of the predecessor Programme called Modernising Rural Delivery Programme (MRD).

The HRAOP project will incorporate three strands of activity, aimed at consolidating and expanding successful models of delivery developed through the MRD ‘Humber’ Programme and the ‘Humber’ Rural Delivery Pathfinder.  The three strands of activity are as follows:

  • Transport to Employment and Training

  • Access to Services – including a Delegated Access to Services Grant Scheme

  • Capacity Building/Rural Partnerships
